11.04 really slow bootup - plymouth?

Hi,

Up until recently have always been a gnome or xfce user, recently decided to try kubuntu. I like it, but its very slow to boot. I get a blank blue screen (same shade as grub) right after grub has finished its countdown and starts Kubuntu.

I've run bootchart - which does seem to suggest plymouth is sleeping. Any ideas pls?

Plymouth is the third slowest (in the picture, somewhere above the middle [15s])

The thing to be worried about is that "upstart-udev-br" and the one beneath that one... that take 50s+
