Has anyone on Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx managed to make Beagle index Evolution emails?

On a fresh Ubuntu 10.04 install, Beagle doesn't appear to index the Evolution emails for me, even though I selected that in the Beagle settings.

I noticed that when discussing those issues, people suggest installing the beagle-evolution-backend package. However, that is not in the repos for Ubuntu 10.04. I also tried to manually install it, but some dependencies couldn't be satisfied.

I'm using Beagle 0.3.9 and Evolution 2.28.3.

Then I found a note here (http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/packages/show/176289), which says that Evolution support isn't even compiled into this version of Beagle anymore.

Does this mean I have to downgrade Beagle?

Any suggestions? It seems to work well for files and folders, but I really need to be able to search through my emails.

Thank you very much...
