    Razor-qt Salent OS -- based on 12.04.1

"Razor-qt SalentOS is the first operating system based on Ubuntu that uses the new Razor-qt, desktop written in Qt, the same as KDE, but which provides superior performance compared to it."

. . . So goes the intro. Non-Canonical, from Italy. Find it here. FYI.

Yes. indeed, it has! I ran with siduction "desperado" lxde for several months and was enamored with it for a while.

However, it was not until I saw this ubuntu-based distro with razor-qt that I was prompted to try it -- primarily in response to my dislike of Unity and the bugs in-between the LTS versions of my linux first love, ubuntu!

Cutting-edge distros have their trade-offs, nonetheless, and now I am back to trying more stable Debian- and ubuntu-derived distros with e-17 and razor-qt and other alternate DEs and WMs (i.e. bodhi, salent and solus)

So, fellow ubuntuite distro-hoppers, what do you make of "ubuntu" with Razor-QT?

I played with the siduction Razor-Qt beta, installed on a netbook, and found it painful to do much re-configuration of anything. But I'm a longtime KDE user, so ...

I love the Razorqt runs fine on my old Gateway 310-x (32-bit) unlike cinnamon-2d and mate, A refreshing departure from unity !
