11.10 Network Manager PPTP VPN - Option to NOT save Password?

    Hi Everyone,

Long time reader here and I'm normally really good at finding answers via thorough forum searching and patient goggling but this one has me stumped. After 2+ days of searching, its time I got your help.

Is there an option for the VPN portion of Network Manager in 11.10 to NOT save the PPTP VPN password? I connect via a TokenAuth (the number changes every login) and as it stands I have to go into the VPN configuration and manually delete the password that is there every time. Other than that, it connects fine.

Most VPN connectivity software has the option to NOT save the password you enter. This one does not!?! I've also tried to force the key from not being stored in "Passwords and Keys". No luck there either.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide me.

Solved! With several additional hours of furious Googling, I came across this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...er/+bug/893885 and then wrote a blog entry here: http://blog.noviantech.com/2012/01/1...d-ubuntu-11-10.

I hope this helps someone out!

Thanks a lot, this saved me hours of rewriting password in configuration! I was also unable to google it, this was my last attempt before creating bash script
