Hi,

I got a new wireless keyboard on a used item website and I am now worried that it may actually be logging my key information. It was, however sealed.

What I suppose is that the only ways it could transmit the stolen information is through my network, physically and wirelessly. I have no control over the latter and I can protect myself from the physical.

I hope this is the right place to put this thread, but without further ado, here are my questions. I am curious if the keyboard can connect to the internet through its USB reciever plugged in my computer without any special drivers and, if so, how I might discover the ports opened by the hardware.

It may also be the case that it opens a port at particular intervals, in which case I think I should set up a firewall. How might I catch this if I do not know the port number?

Thank you in advance.
