    Sorry for this late response but I was on vacation.

    What do you mean by configuration file? The information for the manual connection? I just filled in the address, gateway and subnet I retrieved by the wireless connection. With this I can still not ping the router.

    I have had the same problem with linksys vonage router.
    I was able to fix it with ethtool command and setting the speed to 10, duplex full and autoneg on.
    Even for xp I had to just similar hoops.
    My memory may have been playing tricks on me on this one, but if I remember correctly the problem started when vonage updated the firmware for this router.
    But for some reason ethtool does not work under wubi.
    Any guesses?

    If a post is older than a year or so and hasn't had a new reply in that time, instead of replying to it, create a new thread. In the software world, a lot can change in a very short time, and doing things this way makes it more likely that you will find the best information. You may link to the original discussion in the new thread if you think it may be helpful.
