    Calorie counting software?

    I was wondering if there was any calorie counting software for Ubuntu. Searching turned up Cron-o-meter, but it's not really made for Ubuntu so it needs to be tweaked to install it, plus it's from ~3 years ago. I also know there are plenty of websites, but it would just be more convenient for me to do it straight on my laptop.

    Any ideas?

    I can't answer your question but have you started synaptic and under filter entered calorie. Have you search the web using Calorie counting software in deb format. You should be able to find something.

    I did both, there isn't anything in synaptic, and google just led me to cron-o-meter

    Could you not just setup a simple spreadsheet?
    couple of editable columns for calories & weight/volume

    Diet Coke has 0.4 kilo-calories per 100ml
    330ml can = 1.32 kilo-calories = 1320 calories

    You could even set a daily limit, and colour-code things to indicate if you go over the limit.

    I might be completely missing the point of what this software would do. Maybe it would do a lot more than just simple maths?
    Code:
    while [ true ]; do CY=$(date +%y); CM=$(date +%m); if [ -n "$PY" ] && [ -n "$PM" ]; then echo "Ubuntu ${CY}.${CM} is the worst release ever"; echo "I'm going back to ${PY}.${PM}"; fi; PY="$CY"; PM="$CM"; sleep 182d; done
