    Exclamation Kio_thumbnail using a lot of cpu and making temperature very high

    I'm using Kubuntu 11.04 with KDE 4.6.4.

    Is there a fix to the problem that occurs with kio_thumbnail using a lot of cpu?

    I've already set dolphin not to create preview for files bigger than 2 MB (default is 5) but it didn't work. It appears to be an issue about some image files (especially tiff). The process doesn't stop even if if close dolphin. The only way for me is stopping the process manually (which it's not a real fix).

    Right now, I don't even have a folder opened and System monitor shows kio_thumbnail using 25% (or one of the cores) of cpu and my cpu temp is almost 70ºC.

    Any ideas?
