natty unable to see my ssid

Just installed natty yesterday. And had some trouble installing the broadcom wifi driver via "restricted drivers".

I then installed "broadcom-sta-common" via synaptic - still didnt work.
I then reinstalled "bcmwl-kernel-source" via synaptic - then it worked, well kinda.

I see a lot of different other wireless networks, just not my own.
I tried making a wifi hotspot on my android phone, I see it in natty and I can connect and use it without any problems!!

Trying to connect as a hidden network, doenst work either!
    Everything worked fine in lucid.

My access point is working and broadcasting my ssid. checked it with a dualboot of win7.

    Any ideas!

hmm, just restarted my accesspoint now ubuntu also sees it!

My AP has run for nearly a year without any hickups, this was the first.

so if you own a Cisco AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9 and you get this problem, try restarting it!
