Cool installing 11.04 64 bit on intel SR1630

    Good morning!

I'm attempting to load Ubuntu Server 64 bit on our new Intel sr1630 series servers; however, at bootup I get "error: prefix not set" and get a marginal install screen - anything I then choose (install server, check disc for defects) results in a black screen with no CD ROM activity.

I'll try loading 10.04 or 10.10 then doing an upgrade to 11.04. I do see that this model of server is not listed as certified on the Ubuntu site. Is there any way I can troubleshoot this?

    Thanks for any help.

[update] none of my other x64 discs work; all come up to what I assume is the rescue grub bootloader. I just tried a 10.10 x32 disc and got the normal server install gui. Odd, since our reseller says the servers are x64 compatible.
