Hi lidex sorry for the error, the correct url is

Thank you
Your model name in alsa-base.conf is laptop - add these parameters to it:
so it looks like this:Code:position_fix=1 enable=yes
To edit:Code:options snd-hda-intel model=laptop position_fix=1 enable=yes
Save. Close. Reboot.Code:gksu gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
Hi Lidex,
Would really appreciate your help.
Have tried everything I can think of - including manually upgrading and rebuilding ALSA - but still can't get any sound through the headphones.
Plugging headphones in cuts out the speakers - but no sound comes out.
This is my ALSA info: http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=86...c77bebba88e00b
Many thanks in advance

Thank you lidex,
None of them did the trick. Still the same issue: ideapad works for headphones and laptop works for the mic.
I probably need some extra options to go along with the ideapad setting to make the mic work again. So you need to counteract it.Code:[ 15.785652] ALSA hda_codec.c:3986 hda_codec: model 'ideapad' is selected for config 17aa:0 (Lenovo)
This was another post of mine. Didn't solve the issue though.EDIT: Here you go:

Any new info would be much appreciated!
Thank you!
