    Can't use kpackagekit with FreeNX

    Greetings,

I am playing around with a spare server at home. I have installed Ubuntu Server 11.04.

    Code:
    Linux curly 2.6.38-8-server #42-Ubuntu SMP Mon Apr 11 03:49:04 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I have installed FreeNX and I am able to use the NoMachine Windows client to connect to the system. Furthermore I installed kubuntu-desktop and I am also able to get the KDE4 desktop.

However whenever I try to use kpackagekit to add software, for example emacs, I receive an authentication error rather than the common authentication popup. Attached is a picture of the error from kpackagekit.

I have gotten the same error from QTNX running on another Kubuntu system. However, when I logged directly onto the server kpackagekit correctly requested kdesudo credentials.

Does anyone have a thought about the problem or can you suggest how I might troubleshoot it?

    Regards,
    Nelson
