paramvir - the Footrot Flats books are still available I beleive but not sure if there is new material available

Cavsfan - found that link early on and have install them along with a few others. Does it make a difference
if the file extension is .ttf or .odt ?

Mine are all .ttf (true type font) - don't know if .odt would work.

You are very welcome and everyone here is great to work with!
I would think .ttf are fonts and .odt files are LibreOffice Writer text files.

Is this stuff addicting or what?

    My bad! aquarius18 already replied.

    Re: HOWTO: VinDSL Conky Script

OK, I've repositioned nearly everything in VinDSL's script to make room for the bigger wind direction picture.

I'm getting an error about the pictures for Temp, Barometric pressure and Dew but no biggie.

I also could not figure out a good location for Paramvir's gorgeous conky. I plug mine in and it messes up. So I am stuck looking at New Delhi in Centigrade for the time being.

Other than that I think it's been a good day.

    Paramvir you are good!

Strangely enough, when the new one is running, the old one works again too! (on my 14.04 system anyway).

I just bought a bigger monitor so I could show more - then paramvir does THIS. Now I need *2* monitors to fit in everything I want!

A further thought - maybe I'll do a super Conky with everything - in a window that does NOT go on every desktop.... then I can swap workspaces when I need/want the rest....

Now - how do I make it the screensaver as well??

I don't see any problems with your images, unless you are talking about the bargraphs ???

are you using conkywx-02.conf for your config file ??? if so, you should be able to set your location
just like before....BTW, you should turn off the xml in that file as well as it's giving an error message...

FYI...all the new images are resizable to your liking...just use the "lua-template.sh" file to resize or move them
    around....

    Re: HOWTO: VinDSL Conky Script

I commented out the xml_id and just used my location in conkywx-02.conf and it shows my city name at the top but it still shows Delhi's weather.
If I uncomment out the xml_id it messes up the top part goes away.

PS I'm too old for change.

can I assume that you also commented Paramvir's default home wx station

it will parse the 1st station it sees of course...I just deleted all his sample stations that he
provides when testing to make sure it only sees my station...

and of course there is another config file...."lua-display.conf" to deal with..you might
want to check every .conf file you fine to make sure they all agree....

and I'm older than you so it's not a valid excuse anymore

You know what assume did right? Although I won't go there. But yes I did comment out Paramvir's station. But, only in one file.
I fixed both config files and voila all is good now! Thanks Tommy!

I think it looks great. Just one tiny problem (where the Cor is on the 5th day where the cursor is) and I am waiting on Paramvir to reply to a question and that'll be fixed.
And he can take his time as that is no show stopper!

    Here's a screeny:
