Hey why does it not work - what are you getting on the terminal???
Perhaps it is just the own_window thing ....
I have tested it on Mint 14 Ubuntu 12.04 Fedora 17 and Arch...

I don't think it's worth worrying about because Lucid Lynx 10.04 reaches EOL in less than 3 weeks.
It works beautifully on Mint 14, Raring 13.04, Quantal 12.10 and Precise 12.04.
There are several errors Lucid gets that none of the others get like when I enter conkywx --version it gets an error.
That is also the first error it gets in terminal and errors on everything after thatCode:cavsfan@cavsfan-desktop:~$ conkywx --version /usr/share/conkywx/conkywx.sh: line 1439: printf: `(': invalid format character 0.9.0 cavsfan@cavsfan-desktop:~$
But, like I say Lucid's days are numbered. I just installed conkywx 0.7.8 on Lucid and it works fine.
Kewl OK
Looking good, paramvir!
I installed 0.9.0 for a few minutes ago -- speed read the wiki, scanning it for new features, et cetera.
I had to truncate the Full Moon (FM) output -- don't have enough room for date/time in my script -- just enough room for date.
In the con_hrs function (conkywx.sh) I changed this...
To this...Code:case $2 in 1) echo "$( date --date="$corrtime" "+%b %d ${t_format//\+/}" )";;
Also, I'm seeing a warning/error in CLI, when Conkywx starts/refreshes...Code:case $2 in 1) echo "$( date --date="$corrtime" "+%b %d" )" ;;
Haven't had a chance to trace it back. Maybe, I don't have something config'ed right (yet).Code:Argument "64M-BM-0" isn't numeric in subtraction (-) at /usr/share/conkywx/lib/parsewxdata.pl line 76.
Anyway, thanks! I'll have a new toy to play with, this weekend.

Need to comment my code a bit more he he - took a while for me to recall looking at my code - that is a valid point - well - next update shall also include an option as you have said - just standard month and day for ze moon...
This error is in the perl code temperature conversion F to C - probably for the Feels Like temperature calcs as your download is in F and those formulae are for C temps. I have just tested with currdata.html you had sent me many moons back - perhaps you can see if that error vanishes or you can send me a fresh currdata.html. Looks fine so far
cheers
Here's a current snapshot (10 minutes old): currdata.html.zip
I might mention, this rig is running bleeding-edge git/dev/trunk/whatever releases of everything.
I'm running perl 5.14.2-21 unstable right now. The 'problem' could be as simple as that...
However, I haven't changed anything, during the past 24 hours, except for installing Conkywx 0.9.0Code:vindsl@Zuul:~$ apt-cache policy perl perl: Installed: 5.14.2-21 Candidate: 5.14.2-21 Version table: *** 5.14.2-21 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ raring/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status vindsl@Zuul:~$
I'll keep working on it, after I finish my first pot of coffee... LoL!

Yes coffee helps and I realised black coffee is better than with cream...
Yes perhaps it is the bleeding that your system is doing - all fine here with your currdata file.
Also during my day I had one of those illusive light bulb moments - what if I used a US free anon proxy - and I used one of those in the wgetrc settings and was able to download your version of currdata file from wunderground in F units - directly it always downloads in C units no matter which place on the planet. he he I am grinning he he
we are learning all the time aren't we...
oh and i fixed the thing for moon times
Lines that go in the config file - the section goes just under Time_format as I have shown below:
Lines that change in the conkywx.sh - This goes at the bottom of con_hrs function - u see the last closing curly braces.PHP Code:
# [5] Use 24 hour time format
Time_format=1
# -----------------------------------------------------------------------
# Show time with month and day for Moon Phases
# -----------------------------------------------------------------------
# [0] Show only month n day (EXAMPLE: May 18) [Default]
# [1] Show month day time (example: May 18 10:06 am) The time will follow
# the Time_format settings above.
moon_time=0
cheersPHP Code:
case $2 in
1) case $moon_time in
1) echo "$( date --date="$corrtime" "+%b %d ${t_format//\+/}" )" ;;
*) echo "$( date --date="$corrtime" "+%b %d" )" ;;
esac ;;
*) echo "$( date --date="$corrtime" "$t_format" )" ;;
esac ;;
esac

Yes n' no. That's what I was talking about, but mine was showing the date AND time.
If you look at "Full Moon:" in the middle of the script, you'll see that the (unpatched) date/time output extends into the "Moon Phase" text (Waxing), on the right-side (underneath the moon phase icon).
I needed to truncate the output, e.g. get rid of the time, but keep the date.
Example (patched):
