Quanta php issues

Hi,
I have just started mucking about with web editing and am using quanta plus. I am experimenting with php and am struggling to get it to preview.

I have done background reading and thus have installed a Lamp server and attempted to view preview with firefox. I also changed the preview prefix in properties to http:/

However when attempting on previewing the file in firefox it attempts to open http://testout.php/ and fails.

I am not too surprised by this. Am i right in believing I need to change the preview prefix to the address of my LAMP server? If so how do I find that out?

If not what do I do?

Ok looking at other tutorials I have got phpmyadmin up and running and am looking at how to get this involved.

I am still unsure of what to put exactly in the preview prefix though
