    Unable to delete stuff off my memory stick

    I tried to delete items on my memory stick (Kingston) and delete option is not available. I tried changing permissions and I am told that I am not able to change permissions.
    The message I get is "Error setting permissions: Read-only file system".
    I logged into terminal as sudo konqueror. Whats going on?

    what version of Lubuntu?
    did pcmanfm automount the usb stick?
