How do you run 64-bit and 32-bitside by side? as a dual-boot or..?
Karrank, yeah...I had 32bit 10.04LTS on primary partition but needed to add some extra memory (from 2GB up to 4GB). 32Bit can't see above 3GB so loaded 64bit verison to see all 4GB's. Just made the 64bit disc and popped it in the DVD drive and allowed it to load as a dual boot. Absolutely brilliant it is too! Both versions heavily loaded with software and no problems.

Thx Starfleet, I'm running the pae kernel to see all my 6GB--the only reason I'm staying w/32-bit is old printer & scanner--no confidence in 64-bit drivers being available for them. And the 64-bit flash thing for FF.

I'd wondered if a 32bit/64-bit dual-boot would be useful (didn't know how to properly search for it) so thanks for answering that for me!
    I feel... unusual

ASUS N80Vn laptop - installed the x64 & x32 bit versions of Ubuntu 11.04 (at one point dual-boot with them) and it seems to be working just fine. I've added a 500GB drive and 4GB RAM and the x32 version automatically installed PAE so I can use all of that 4GB of RAM.

Motherboard ASUS P5B delux with ASUS WiFi AP Solo wireless LAN - wireless worked out of the box from Ubuntu 7.04 down to 11.04. X-Sensors works. Picks up motherboard fan speed and temperature as well as CPU temperature and fan speed. Audio works as well as the ASUS Array microphone that came with the WiFi edition of the motherboard.

    regards.

Asus eeePC 1001HA. Ubuntu from 9.04 onwards working fairly well. 10.10 seems to be the best, with everything working perfectly. I did update to 11. Hated the new UI, but everything still seems to be working.

    Desktop e/w ASUS M3A78-EM motherboard

    - Ubuntu Lucid LTS (with Natty, Fedora15, Puppy, PartedMagic, WinXP multiboot)

    - 500 GB SATA2 hard drive, no issues

    - built in HD 3200 graphics, Azalia RS780 audio, Realtek GigE no issues
    - USB2 ports work well with newer Seagate external HD

    - HDMI and DisplayPort video, can't test yet

    - Epson 1240U scanner, no issues IIRC

    - Canon i550 printer - FAIL! Gotta keep XP around ...

    - external firewire DVD burner, no issues

BTW I gave up on the Linux derived 'Express Gate' - very flaky, only installs from Windoze and takes up f@#$&^% ~300 MB !! Instead, I use Puppy Linux for full function 'quicker' access.
