Mouse stutter, Help please! Ubuntu 11.04 x64

Hi, iv recently started having problems with the cursor.

After about 20 mins of using ubuntu my mouse starts to lag around the screen. (Like watching a internet video on a slow connection). Its slow and jumpy.

If I log out and back in the it goes away for a while again.

I used the default unity and then switched to gnome 3 problem is with both. The mouse works perfect in Windows 7 x64

    Ver: Ubuntu 11.04 x64 Gnome 3
    CPU: I7 2600k
    RAM: 4GB DDR3
    GPU: 470 GTX
    Mouse: MX518

Can provide more info if needed.

Any help would be great, Thanks.

I'm seeing the same thing. Also, it will eventually freeze and crash. Somehow I think this is tied to the wireless card i'm using...but that's a long story.

Either way, i've rebuilt the system twice and continue to have the same issue. Anyone else?

I'm seeing mouse pointer stuttering even right after login to gnome 3 even with nothing really running. It stuttering enough to definitively notice, but not enough to really stop me from doing anything. This stuttering would be really bad for carpal tunnel syndrome sufferers. This stuttering does not occur with other desktop environments, like KDE, XFCE, etc...

When the mouse moves, gnome-shell is seams to use around 90% CPU utilization on my Dual Core 2 - 2.2GHz system. gnome-shell uses about 15-20% when the mouse etc... is idle.

    2.2GHz Dual Core 2 (T7500)
    4GiB RAM 666MHz
256MiB NVidia NVS 140M Video card
    WUXGA (1920x1200) display
    Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit
    G500 Mouse
One of my most wanted bugs [in K/Ubuntu, ...] I'd like fixed is that
GNOME save as / open dialogs don't have a way to copy paths to the clipboard.
    p.s.
Recovery console should be renamed performance gaming console
