    Question Chromium Plug-in Problem

After updating my laptop running Ubuntu 10.04 yesterday, chromium is now saying my flash plug-in is blocked cos its out of date(It works just fine in mozilla)...Ive tried updating it by using alien to load the .rpm file i got from the adobe file and this didnt change anything. i also went to the preferances and made sure everything was enabled so idk whatthe problem could be??? 90% of the work i do on the internet involves flash and im kinda stuck without it since chrome is my browser of choice, any suggestions??

First...Ubuntu does not use .rpm's. That is a Redhat format. Ubuntu uses the .deb format. You just made a post on another topic concerning flash. Read the entire post and follow the links and you can solve your problem.

For continuity: [SOLVED] Chrome does not have flash (64 bit).

If you still have Firefox installed, install Flash-Aid and run the extension wizard. It will detect installed flash plugins, remove them and install the best option according to your system architecture and version. Additionally, it will apply some tweaks that should improve performance.

Chromium will detect plugins installed by Flash-Aid.

    Re: Chromium Plug-in Problem

I'd suggest ditching Chromium and installing Chrome proper:

    http://www.google.com/chrome?platform=linux

Flash comes preinstalled and it works on everything. I mucked around with Chromium earlier this year, successfully installing Flash and finding Chromium still wouldn't work with sites like GrooveShark. Somebody out there knows why Chromium exists, but it isn't me.
New to Linux. Currently dual boot Lubuntu 10.10 with W7 on Acer One netbook. Experimenting with Mint 15 XFCE on netbook and a Dell laptop with peripherals (Persistent 8GB Live USB.)
