    Question 3g tethering -> can't display website

    Hi guys

    I'm using a Vodafone 3G SIM card in my mobile phone to have internet on my netbook (USB tethering). On Windows it works perfectly and I can use the internet.

    On Ubuntu I can connect to a website ("Connected to www.google.com...") but there is nothing displayed no matter which browser I use. Since the speed is not that bad on Windows, I doubt low speed is the problem here.

    When I do "telnet www.google.com 80" it just says "connected to www.google.com" but no status code or anything similar. "ping www.google.com" works correctly with about 200ms on average.

    What could be wrong here? If you need further information, just tell me. Thanks in advance.

    Sincerely,
    Michael

    Did you contact tech support and start a trouble ticket the manufacture? They should support linux.
