Re: [SOLVED] How to play openGL based games with full 3D acceleration on XGL/compiz

So the first post is from May 15th, 2006 !!!
I can not believe that 2 ½ years after this workaround has not been included in compiz or X.
My ATI still can not run GoogleEarth and compiz.
    Frustrating.

Didn't help me with Intel built-in video card. Any suggestions please?

I have an Intel card and if I have compiz running - forget it! GoogleEarth on another system with an older ATI Radeon 7000 (dual head) card works beautifully, although in Jaunty. Is anyone out there with Jaunty on an Intel card that can share some experiences with us?

This does not work for me with display set to either 93 or 0. I'm on a MacBook 4,1, but I don't know what kind of video card it has. I have Jaunty, Gnome, Compiz. I'm trying to get Google Earth up and running, but the best I get is program running with the earth badly flickering with display set to 0 or using "DISPLAY=:0 sudo googleearth".

    Any ideas?
