gtkpod - Does not sync ipod & cannot see music on ipod touch

    I'm running Ubuntu 11.04.

Now, gtkpod USED to work with my ipod touch, 3rd gen. However, it has suddenly stopped working. It will still "see" my ipod and has no problems loading the ipod. It does not list any of the files, music or video, that are on the ipod - even the ones I previously put on with gtkpod. Additionally, it will not sync. Although it says it is writing to the database and my ipod shows the sync screen and updates the library afterwards, the file does not appear in my music/video list.

I have completely removed & reinstalled gtkpod and gtkpod-data.

I've tried using Banshee (which doesn't have some of the same features, but Banshee doesn't recognize the ipod) & Amarok (which doesn't give me a 'device' option either).

Same problem hear – gtkpod see's my ipod but see's no files except photo's.
All files are there and are shown/can be seen in all the other players.
But gtkpod is far better at managing my podcasts.
