    Hi, I would try what I suggested in post 86, it will not hurt to try it, before you install 11.04.
    Thank you

    Hi, as for this driver fglrx it conflicts with the ati driver if you installed your ati driver then you should look at this link.

    I upgraded to 11.04, wireless working, graphics working (though I still can't get unity to work but that has to be in another thread...) Thanks a lot for the help anyway! Do you want to see the zip folder now?

    Re: Wifi not working on my HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop.

    Ok. I am having the issue with wifi not working on my Compaq Presario V6000. It has the broadcom 4311 wireless card.

    I saw that someone requested a bunch of commands to be ran in terminal and to post the output here. SO I ran all of them and posted them here. I have the driver but my wireless card is not working. It worked in Windows, I don't know what the deal is. I really like Natty, so far, but NEED my wireless to work.

    Thanks,
    Cupcake

    Re: Wifi not working on my HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop.

    Hi, you should be able to run these commands with a wired connection and get it to work.
    Code:
    sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
    let it install all updates then run this one:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install b43-fwcutter firmware-b43-installer
    disconnect your wired connection and reboot.

    If you need more help please post back.
    Thank you
