Hi, ok thank you that is all right.
Enjoy
I am having the same problem, combed through the thread and followed the step by step described here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...eisty_No-Fluff
But, seems like I got lost in the weeds and now I am stuck; I do have the wired network connection working, but the wireless light is yellow and I am not sure what to do next.
Any help would be appreciated.

This was an old post but it fixed my wifi on my laptop! Thanks!!
Hi guys,
I have an HP Pavilion dv2315nr which has the same broadcom 4311 module. I followed the steps on the first two pages and it also worked for a short while. Was able to surf, download banshee, then in the middle of a youtube vid, it stopped working.
The LED was still blue but there was no signal. I have another pc with wifi working so its only the hp. So, I did a reboot and now the LED is orange again.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
lorsban
Update:
I decided to do a clean install and redid the steps and still no dice.
Other than that, everything runs perfect. lol
