Hey -- I want to configure the spacing between the icons in toolbar in the top right tray of Natty (so it looks more like gnome 3). Does anyone know where these values are stored? I checked ccsm and gconf.

I don't think it's really possible. I don't know of any system tray that actually includes this feature, and Unity is rather limited in terms of customization.
I know I shouldn't use tildes for decoration, but they always make me feel at home~
