11.04 crashing when I close lid(MacBookPro 13')

I recently installed ubunu 11.04 on a partion of my 13 inch macbook pro and it runs great but whenever I close the lid and re-open it I come to a screen that looks all glitchy and all I can do move the mouse around the screen. Has anyone else had this problem or have any suggestions as to what I could do?

Try messing with the power options in power management.
Set it to "suspend" and tell us how it goes.

Just tried it, resulted in the same thing.
