how to add pidgin icon in panel?

how to add pidgin icon in the panel?

gnome or unity?
in gnome i just right click and icon in the menu and select add this.. to panel.
i thin unity shell behave the same/

I do not find 'add to panel'

drag & drop
open appliations menu, then navigate to pidgin, drag it, and drop it wherever you like on the panel.
i checked that when trying the new system.
