Network sharing again and again I have to go through this

Why this is ALWAYS so difficult I will never know, but...

I have one Windows 7 machine, one Natty Narwhal laptop.
I want to see the laptop from the Windows machine.
I can see/view files etc, the Windows machine from the laptop!

    Here is my smb.conf : smb.conf.txt

When I try to connect from Windows, it asks me for passwords, I dont want that! I want guest/unrestricted access.
The prompt is "Enter Network Password to connect to :maggie"
(Although I have tried entering hostname\username that is valid on the Ubuntu laptop, even this doesnt work!!!!)

I try to connect via the hostname or ip.

    ANY HELP???

I can TightVNC view the Ubuntu desktop from Windows. But I cannot seem to get Windows Remote Desktop Connection to connect to it?! But I dont care about that.
