    Code:
    Linux mike-laptop 2.6.35-28-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Fri Mar 18 18:42:20 UTC 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux
but running sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup gives the following

    Code:

Could someone help me figure out why this is failing so I can run virtualbox again?

    Re: Virtualbox dkms fails

On my machine dkms seems to become corrupted after a Kernel upgrade. I have been able to get it up and running twice now with the following steps:

    Code:
    sudo apt-get remove dkms
    sudo rm -rf /var/lib/dkms/vboxhost/
    sudo apt-get install dkms
Apparently something is not being re-built in the /var/lib/dkms/vboxhost/ directory and I have to force the re-build by deleting and re-installing.

There is probably a better way, but this has worked for me.
