In all releases of ubuntu,in the Ubuntu software center, there is a app called gtkpod iPod manager, it should work. I have used it with my ipods, granted i have a Microsoft Zune now!! if that doesn't work than try the Hipo iPod managment tool. Then if all else fails, download and install WINE, then google for "sharepod" then install sharepod in WINE, however, I would only use that as a last resort! Good Luck!!
