I think I must have an original Airport card according to an existing thread. (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...co+PPC+airport)
http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...87&postcount=6
I see in the wireless thread
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...41#post9957641
an orinoco module. That points to a classic Airport instead of Broadcom.
You might want to install linux-firmware-nonfree, that's the package in MintPPC that provides firmware for older airport models. This will give you:
Agere/Prism/Symbol Orinoco firmware (STA mode), version 9.48 Hermes I (agere_sta_fw.bin)
All airport cards work out of the box nowadays in MintPPC...
You also need to have the latest firmware from Apple for this card (9.52).

How do I find if I have the latest firmwave? I will do a google search to find out.
Can anyone confirm that installing
Code:
linux-firmware-nonfree
fixes the problem for Ubuntu 10.04 as per the comment from the thread?
Thanks
