GCompris does not display properly in Unity

I recently upgraded from Maverick to Natty (64-bit NOT a clean install).

Now when I start Gcompris I get a white rectangle on a black screen.

I tried to uninstall - reinstall, but that did not work.

I switched to the gnome desktop and everythinh worked fine, so I suppose this is a Unity problem.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Any ideas on how to deal with this?

Unfortunately I rendered my PC unbootable trying to fix this, so I did a clean install. It works fine now.

From the research I did, I believe that it has something to do with the nvidia restricted drivers. I tried to uninstall - reinstall them, but I guess I did something wrong.

So if you try to tackle the problem make you RTFM before uninstalling the Nvidia drivers or be ready to install Natty from scratch.
