    Ubuntu 11 not booting from pen drive

    I'm trying to boot ubuntu 11 from pen drive but all i get is a blinking cursor prompt on booting.
    I've tried Unetbootin and UltraISO but both give the same blinking cursor.
    Please suggest a solution.

    Thumbs down Re: Ubuntu 11 not booting from pen drive

    Did you just save the ISO onto the USB stick? It is not quite that simple

    You need another program to create a bootable USB stick - which gives you the USB stick equivalent of an ISO burned to CD

    download the Universal USB tool from the link below and follow the instructions on that page - and away you go:

    http://www.pendrivelinux.com/univers...easy-as-1-2-3/

    You may want to "clean out" you USB stick before you start with:

    http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/330/mirrors.php

    It is an HP tool but installs on any machine and formats any brand of stick
    Code:
    cd /fridge/beer | drink && fallover

    Check the MD5SUM of your iso to make sure the download is not corrupt.
