Question HTTPS - many resources on it

Is there a way to access ubuntu related resources NOT via https?

    examples:
    https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...Driver/bcm43xx
    https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa

These are major Ubuntu resources and I can't access them on my network (university wireless).

I don't know if they have a non https site. Try using a proxy like youhide.com.

It sounds like this is going to be an ongoing issue. Do you have a remote server you can ssh into. If so, you can use it as a proxy. Check out this HowTo. You can do this for your whole internet connection under System> Preferences> Network Proxy.

Re: HTTPS - many resources on it

I was looking for an information if there are non-https versions of such sites. I see that there aren't and I have to use a proxy. I'll use the proxy provided specifically for https on my wireless. Thank you.
