Package manager won't update; source list pmcenery-ppa-lucid.list missing info

I recently got an iPhone 3g and have been trying to upload music onto my device with Rhythmbox because my computer exclusively runs Ubuntu (10.04 LTS, Lucid Lynx). Rhythmbox would show files that were dragged and dropped as being on the iPhone, and they appeared in the iPhone's folders, but they weren't recognized in the iPod player. I followed a variety of forum threads to try to fix the problem, but ended up creating a whole new set of problems with my package manager.

I get this error message before package manager opens:

E: Type 'n' is not known on line 2 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pmcenery-ppa-lucid.list
E: The list of sources could not be read.
Go to the repository dialog to correct the problem.
    E: _cache->open() failed, please report.

And this message after I close the first error message window and the package manager opens:

An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:

'E:Type 'n' is not known on line 2 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pmcenery-ppa-lucid.list, E:The list of sources could not be read.'

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to fix this? If it isn't already apparent, I am very inexperienced working with ubuntu, so the more detailed the response, the better. Thank!

Second line from the top make it look like this.

    # deb cdrom:[Ubuntu 9.04 _Jaunty Jackalope_ - Release i386 (20090421.3)]/ jaunty main restricted

    Or just remove it.

You also have these, change them to lucid.

    # deb-src http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ jaunty-backports main restricted universe multiverse

    # deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/jonabeck/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
    # deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/jonabeck/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main

There are off with the # in front, but you don't want jaunty in there.

Where do I make these changes? /etc/apt/sources.list/pmcenery-ppa-lucid.list? Sorry if this seems obvious, but I'm a beginner.

Sorry about that in the terminal this command will open that same list as read and write, save your work when done.
    Code:
    gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Made changes and restarted the computer, but still getting this error message from package manager:

An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:

'E:Type 'n' is not known on line 2 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pmcenery-ppa-lucid.list, E:The list of sources could not be read.'

Here is what that updated file looks like:

This is the correct command to open the file with the original error, look at line two, and or post the text.
    Code:
    gksu gedit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pmcenery-ppa-lucid.list
I never have to do this so I had to search my cheat sheet,

That did the trick! I posted the text from my previous reply into that file and saved it, and now the package manager is up and working again. Thanks so much for the help!
