I must now apologize publicly and take-back all of my "Natty nay-saying". lol
I can no longer dislike 11.04, or *especially* Unity.
So, I apologize to all who have worked on the project and have to see all of the "Unity bashing" everywhere, and I apologize for contributing to it.
Yesterday morning I decided to give 11.04 its own partition.
I have only used Natty in virtualbox and via liveUSB, and I always ran into one problem or another..
It was really making me dislike it altogether.
So I figured the only other thing to do was to actually install it and see if things worked better, So I made a 25GB partition for it, and have been using it since i made it.
(Bout' 2 days now)
I've been using only Unity..
and I really can't believe how much i have enjoyed it!
It is really, very nice!
I've only run into minor glitches, mostly with the top "panel", and a few times switching themes, (so mostly minor *and mostly rare* graphics glitches)
But other than that... It's been so nice i havent even thought about booting back into my 10.10 install!
I am impressed!
I figured I would be able to 'accept" Unity, and just "get used to it" or "deal with it"..
But I think I can safely say that I actually like it! lol
I also could not get AWN to work properly in a virtualbox,
But it works perfectly on a full install. (see right side of screen).
I was just going to use the cpu temp gauge, but figured I'd toss in a main menu button also. lol
I'm going to use it like this for awhile...
But i have a feeling I may just fully switch to 11.04 some time in the near future.
Which is Unbelievable! As i love 10.10 a lot ! lol
Here's a few shots of my natty setup for now,
Pretty basic, only AWN added.
Anyway, Many thanks to everyone who has been working on this release!
It really is a nice piece of work!
I hope you can accept my apologies, and my ignorance! lol
If anyone reading feels the same way I did..
I urge you to think again! (or differently). lol
There are some things I wanted to mention that i've found that i really like,
but I'll have to get my thoughts together on them and add them here later.
Many Thanks Ubuntu..
I should have known you wouldn't fail us...
11.04/Unity is really very niice, and seems to work pretty great!
Thank you! Deep bows* <3<3<3
