    How to Factory Reset?

    Hey, i was wondering if it at all possible to factory reset ubuntu and start from a clean slate?

    ...and when you backup your data, exclude hidden directories in your home folder (that start with "."), or you'll end up with the same user settings for everything.

    Well Ubuntu didn't come from the factory, like Windows does. So you can't really "factory reset". Just pop in your disk and install it again. It's usually a rather quick process.
