Unhappy Lost a panel, everything minimized vanishes!

    Hey everybody!

I am new to Ubuntu so please help me out here!
I pluged another monitor to my laptop running ubuntu 10.10 and even before changing resolutions and the default screen, the lower panel vanished. Even though I unplugged the monitor, changed back the resolution, restarted a couple of times, the panel is still gone. And even worse, everything i minimize just vanishes. plus, every time i start a new mozilla, the vanished ones restart from the ubuntu black hole and i hear all the videos, music, that i opened previously with mozilla.I have no idea how to stop this. it's a nightmare!!
    HELP!

Right click the top panel - add new panel.

Right click on the new panel - add to panel - window list, workspace switcher

I think they are the necessary items. (Not running a gnome machine atm)

you can also drag and drop things that would be convenient like mozilla and the shell up there to the panel, just for a convenience use.My panel is full of things I use all of time
<- This is what I'm doing if I'm not in front of my computer. (Or I might be doing both at the same time)

give cario dock a shot go to applications-->ubuntu software center when that opens up. Type in cairo in the search bar and install it (glx-dock cairo dock with open gl ). then go to applications-->accessories-->glx-dock (cairodock with open gl) play around with it and tell us how you like it

Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority

    Hey again!Thanks for the help!

I tried creating a new panel, but the minimizing problem wasn't gone and the mozilla videos would still reopen.
    it worked with this:
