    ubuntu running in low graphics mode

    whenever i open my computer i get a dialog box saying
    ubuntu is running in low graphics mode. The following error was encountered. You may need to update your configuration to solve this
    (EE) open /dev/fbO: No such file or directory

    what should i do now????

    have you made any hardware changes to the pc? have you installed the proprietary drivers for a nvidia or amd/ati graphic card/

    i had this problem sometimes with ubuntu 10.04, i havent seen the issue in newer versions
