    Whenever I insert a blank cd, everything just doesn't work

    Alright. So.... I insert a blank cd, then everything on my desktop goes away, and I can't open anything off of my "places" menu... on 9.04, btw.

    Any help?

    Any reason your using an unsupported release? Maybe upgrade.
