How to get a working Gnome 3

I have tried Gnome 3 from the Fedora live demo, and I like it very much. I would like to try installing it, but I'm not sure I can get something as nicely integrated as the live demo. Options at the moment are:

    - install from GIT: I tried it and it does not run
    - try Ubuntu 11.04 with PPA: I'm not sure it will work as expected. If not, I don't want to be stuck with Unity
    - Try Fedora 15: I downloaded the prerelease live CD and I did not get anything like the Gnome Shell. I would not like to install it unless I'm sure I get something similar to the official demo.

Any other options? What is the best way to get something which runs as smoothly as the official demo?
Please, feel free to correct my english, so that I can improve it.

Re: How to get a working Gnome 3

Build it from GIT in 10.10 and Gnome-Shell was running rather well.
Did a clean install 11.04 and added the gnome3 ppa and the ricotz testing ppa.
This one is running much smoother and faster.
So my advice would be the second option to use.
FYI,updating to Gnome3 will break your unity so you can't use it anymore.
