Nautilus Elementary / Breadcrumbs

I'm new to Ubuntu, though I've been aware of it for a couple of years, and finally decided to install it. Absolutely love it. I've been using Windows, for a long time, and to be honest have become bored with it, its become uninspiring to me

Moving on to the issue. I've installed Nautilus Elementary, including the breadcrumb hack. I've got some issues with accessing the Nautilus preferences (it's not there), and the other thing, my breadcrumbs appear to have spacing between them.

I've attached an image to show the issue with the breadcrumbs.

I got the idea from OMG! Ubuntu!, as you can see the screenshots have these breadcrumbs.

Any ideas on how I may be able to reduce the spacing and/or is there another way?

During an update
One question remains, do I still need the breadcrumb hack for Nautilus?

Go to Edit > Preferences > Tweaks and a bread crumbs option is built in , but there is a message about specific gtk rc file/s.

Go to Edit > Preferences > Tweaks and a bread crumbs option is built in , but there is a message about specific gtk rc file/s.

After that update, the options have appeared.
My only concern is, do I need to remove the breadcrumb hack?
