Manually Register Ubuntu Client To DNS (Bind@Debian)

    Hi all,

it seems that my setup is non-standard. At least I find no solution via Google.

    DNS-Server: Bind on Debian Lenny
    DNS-Client: Ubuntu Lucid Lynx

This is a static IP setup!
Why? Because we are in a company here and the company DHCP server will give me random IP addresses, but I need static etc. etc.

This Bind DNS server is for our lab purposes and all Windows clients register their static configured IP addresses and hostnames with it. This works. All things like unauthorized updates are handled already.

    So question:
How to do the same on my ubuntu box??
