    boot message "Too many connections"

When booting Ubuntu 10.10, the following enlightening message flashes briefly on the monitor:
    "Too many connections".

    I found it in /var/log:
    /var/log/dmesg
    [ 8.463014] Too many connections

I have not noticed any bad consequences. What is this?
