About an hour ago, I was ripping a DVD so that I can play the ISO on my PBO media player. It was in need of copying as the disc has surface damage but was still readable. I thought I'd kill time by doing something I hadn't done in years and try one of those NES emulators.
All of a sudden, a warning popped up saying that I was running out of space. After the disc was done, I restarted and started hunting for the file that was causing the trouble. It ended up being ".xsession-errors.old" in my home folder (hidden). I wanted to know why this file grew to over 7 GB (despite my attempts at rapidly erasing and moving unneeded files to other drives, this kept growing).
I read the first few lines and last few lines. The last lines were:
Code:Command> Invalid command. Command> Invalid command. Command> Invalid command. Command> Invalid command. Command> Invalid command. Command> Invalid command. Command> Invalid command. C Signal 15 has been caught and dealt with... MUST TERMINATE ALL HUMANS Signal 15 has been caught and dealt with... MUST TERMINATE ALL HUMANS
It seems as though this log file is filled with "Invalid command." lines ending with those final statements. Does anyone know what this means?
On a side note: as if this wasn't bizarre enough, I was playing Bart vs. the Space Mutants and ripping Full Metal Jacket.
