Great! If you can get it installed on the computer you're getting, then maybe you can move your hdd from the one you have to the one you're getting, install Lubuntu & move it back. Then you'll have 2 working systems.

Sorry to hear that. I can't remember all the details here, but check to make sure your usb stick doesn't have U3 software on it.
