Min/Max and Close missing for some apps (i.e. LibreOffice)

Has anyone else noticed this? Most of my default apps have actually been fine (DigiKam, GnuCash, KeepAssX, Skype) but I happened to open LibreOffice today and noticed that there are no min/max or close buttons, I can close it by using the file menu, but am stumped outside of that.

I've seen it happen occassionally. Though I don't recall exactly which applications. Certainly LibreOffice is generally OK for me.

This has happen to me a couple of times awhile ago, but it is working find now. I believe all I did was go to System> Preferences> Appearance and changed the theme.

i have noticed something similar in openoffice and then libreoffice when it was made default.

    i did raise a bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...ty/+bug/703278

if you goto another app and the back again the icons reappear again.

It happens to me occasionally, but it's all apps, e.g. firefox (see attachment).
Usually they come back next time I boot up.
I've seen threads that indicate it's a compiz, or similar app, issue but I'm not running anything like that.

If you aren't running Natty, your problem won't be solved here.

    My bad.
Found this thread on a search and didn't think to check the category.
