Correct, so then System76 should be aware of the fact that people are impersonating them or they got their email list stolen. People using System76 and on their email list should also be aware, hence my first post.

Or maybe you or someone who has your email in their contacts had their systems compromised? You clearly think Linux affords complete protection and take no precautions.

I don't have a contacts list, no one I email would even know that I am interested in system76 besides system76 themselves. Yes, it is completely reasonable to deduce that, from me stating to click a link that any modern browser would flag as illegitimate. Troll harder.

    Re: System76 Phishing Email

As an update, System76 did NOT send these emails. We don't have an address system76@system76.com, and the headers on these messages were spoofed.

We are looking into this and checking to make sure no customer information was compromised.

All customers should note that we do not store credit card information on our servers or in our records, and your financial information is still secure.

Do you have info@system76.com? That appears to be the true address.

Yes, we do have info@system76.com. Can you post the complete header information of one of the bad emails?

    Re: System76 Phishing Email

The headers from Evolution are the same in both the legitimate and spam email.

    system76@system76.com, Inc. <info@system76.com>
The part that makes me question the security of my information is the fact that system76 is connected with my name and my email address. Obviously the email address could be spoofed, but then there's the rest of my information.

In Evolution, go to the "View" menu and make sure "All Message Headers" is selected. That should allow you to see the information ISANTOP was looking for.
