In windows 7 you can put wallpapers that change after some time, 10 seconds one image, 10 seconds another, and with a "Mixing Pictures" effect. How to do that on ubuntu?

Here is one tutorial:

I am sure there are also other ways of doing this.
I use a program called Wallpapoz to show different picture on my desktop. Just point the program to a folder with pictures, set the time you want to look at a picture and that's it.
Find it here: Wallpapoz
I find one small discomfort using this program. For example when playing a game, when the desktop-background changes through Wallpapoz the game stutters a little. It seems the program uses a lot of the CPU (or disk read) to slow down the program in the fore-ground.
The benefit if this program compared to the one on the site mentioned by Rubi1200 is that you don't need to write the extensive xml file if you have a lot of pictures. I have more than 1300 which I use, imagine writing an xml file for them.
