grub rescue , geom error becoming daily events

Hallo everybody !!
i am using lucid & it is working very nicely. But when i shut down I can't surely tell you if it boot properly or not. so many time i have reinstalled grub but after every time it works good for one or two days & then shows " grub rescue" or " geom error" on boot. I found solution but it is not permanent. can somebody tell me reason & solution for this.
I want to post boot info script result but unfortunately it is not working now. when i run boot_info_script055.sh nothing happens. yes I have changed its permissions.
now when i update it shows me new kernel installation failed error.
Please help me friends.

Please post the results of the boot info script Dutch70 asked for.

Also, the computer specifications and how you installed Ubuntu and if you also have other operating systems such as Windows on the computer.

Temp. solution is reinstalling grub using live cd. I have dual boot with windows xp. As I said before I can't post you result of boot info script as it doesn/t run.

just moment before I read your reply I have reinstalled ubuntu with single boot. ( ditched xp).
so there is no more grub & no more problems.
